AI is moving into the tools people already use. Interactive answers with charts, buttons and forms; paid tiers from 7 Oct, Free and Go from 8 Oct; rollout varies by account.
What OpenAI is rolling out
On Wednesday 7 October, OpenAI said it is bringing a new GPT-6 model to ChatGPT's Chat tab, which it says is used by more than 1.2 billion people each week. It comes with Intelligent UI: responses that can include graphics, tappable buttons, forms, charts and interactive tools inside the conversation. OpenAI's examples include a Sunday roast planner with an adjustable guest count and a bill splitter.
The rollout started on 7 October for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise, and expands to Free and Go from 8 October. Tom's Guide reports paid tiers get GPT-6 Sol and Free and Go get the lighter GPT-6 Luna. Enterprise availability depends on workplace admin settings. OpenAI also says GPT-6 Instant starts answering web-search questions 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant — when the answer begins, not how fast it finishes.
Who sees it, and when
This is the first GPT-6 access most ChatGPT users will get. The rollout is account by account, so it may not show for everyone at once.
Coverage context
